Topic: Security Awareness and Personal Safety in the Workplace
The presentation involves a combination of a PowerPoint presentation, written materials and discussion regarding general security awareness. Topics discussed are internet, email, social media, phishing, technology breaches and scams, and how they can affect the employee and employer.
Speaker: Chris Hammett, Security Officer for TCB Corp/Countybank
Chris Hammett is the Security Officer for TCB Corp/Countybank where he handles physical security, fraud, security training and is involved with the technical and information security team. Chris is a graduate of Presbyterian College. After college, Chris worked in law enforcement for approximately 10 years. He worked in the detention center, uniform patrol, investigations, and narcotics. While in narcotics, he also served as a task force officer with the DEA and a special deputy US Marshal both operating out of Greenville and covering the eastern coast. Additional duties he served were a K9 handler with the Bloodhound Tracking Team and a Team Leader with the SWAT team. He received recognition as Deputy of the Year and is also a recipient of the SC Medal of Valor.
